The Power of Knowledge

The hand-written lab notes and works of famous female scientists are collaged in the background and their names are embedded in the painted, jewel-like surface of the ground with symbols of knowledge and learning.  Aspen trees share the same root system and symbolize the science that unites these inspiring role models. The scientists are Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Marie Sibylla Merian, Lise Meitner, and Ada Lovelace.​
